How to Fit our Oak Coat Hooks
Solid Wall – Our solid wall oak coat hooks are supported on a single screw thread with a wall plug. Simply drill a 10mm hole in the desired position. Insert the provided wall plug and screw the wall hook in until it is hand tight.
Dot and Dab Wall – Fitted in the same way as the solid wall fixings, these have a longer thread section for reaching into the solid wall behind. For additional strength we recommend supporting the wall at the fixing point using a chemical resin.
Plasterboard Wall – Our plasterboard wall oak coat hooks are supported on a Fischer Duotec fixing. Drill a 12mm hole in the desired position. Fold the end tab flat and insert the fixing into the hole in the direction of the arrow until it expands behind the wall. Slide the white bushing down the insert tab and press it into the wall, wiggle the insert tab up and down to snap off the excess. Screw the hook in until it is hand tight.
Please note the load bearing of the oak wall hook will be reduced when fitted to plasterboard.
