Our solid wall floating shelf brackets are the type that we use in our solid oak floating shelves up to 250mm depths. The completely concealed shelf bracket comes provided with a high quality Fischer UX10 wall plug and landing washer. We recommend this invisible shelf bracket for use with solid walls only. You will require a 10mm masonry drill bit for installing this fixing.
We supply this shelf fixing in two different barrel length options. Measuring 80 or 120mm this invisible shelf fixing is suitable for supporting most conventional shelf sizes. You can also use these floating shelf brackets for supporting mantels and beams. The hidden shelf bracket has a rating of 10kgs per fixing. For larger depth and weight shelves we recommend using our Heavy Duty Floating Shelf Brackets. If you are fitting shelves solely to plasterboard of drywall then we recommend our Plasterboard Floating Shelf Brackets.
For our solid wall floating shelf brackets we recommend using two fixings per meter of shelf. Based on a typical 200mm depth floating shelf. However you should use your own discretion when calculating fixing spacings based on the shelf usage.
We produce these floating shelf brackets with a specific diameter that ensures a snug fit in a 12mm mounting hole. This eliminates the need for a locking screw or knurling on the fixing to hold your shelf in place. We recommend using a 12mm auger bit for drilling the shelf. We offset the screw thread to the barrel to give you fine levelling adjustment of the shelf during fitting.
If you are unsure of which fixing might be best for your application then don’t hesitate to contact us and we should be able to advise you.
