What Are We Doing Throughout The COVID-19 Outbreak?

Many businesses are operating on a reduced workforce or from home where possible. Here at BespOak Interiors we are a husband and wife team, our workshop is based 4 minutes from our house and we live on the edge of a small town in the Cotswolds. Basically meaning that in our everyday, we actually operate on a pretty isolated basis. Our only contact tends to be for delivery and courier collection purposes. To minimise contact, we will be asking our delivery drivers to leave and collect orders/parcels outside our main door where possible.

We will be operating the business at normal functionality, providing there are no further restrictions put in place either by the Government, our couriers or suppliers. We are continually monitoring the situation and the information provided by the Government and Public Health England and are taking advice from our health and safety consultants as and when necessary. We are adhering to high safety measures, with extra cleaning, hand washing and hygiene in place.

There may be the possibility of delays with orders if there are any imposed shutdowns by delivery services. As of the current state of things DPD, our main courier for UK and Europe, has announced the following:

UK Parcel Collection and Delivery

“At present all parcel operations continue as normal. All DPD Local depots and hubs are working as normal and we have no closures affecting any of our sites.”

The only current change is that DPD will no longer ask customers to sign their handheld units upon delivery – the driver will sign on your behalf with your authority.

International Parcel Collection and Delivery

“At present all international parcel operations continue as normal, including in Italy. All DPD depots and hubs in Europe are working as normal and we have no closures.

Our operation in Italy is NOT majorly affected by the restrictions introduced by the Italian Government and largely continue as normal, although there are some restrictions when delivering to certain business locations.”

Please note however that some European countries are imposing stricter border checks, which may slow down delivery by up to 24 hours.
